The pale pink hue of this Pinot Grigio from winemaker G. Gallo is due to the presence of iron & aluminum oxides in the "Dessimis" vineyard within the Friuli Isonzo DOC in the northeast of Italy near Slovenia. Expressive & full of character!

Description
Varietal: 100% Pinot Grigio. Fermentation in stainless steel tank, and aged in French oak barrique. Bottled aged for 10 months.
Taste: Slightly pink in color. The nose is fine, with delicate notes of crushed flowers, sweet red berries, peach and a hint of citrus fruit. On the palate it is fresh with a full body and some tannins that add persistence and structure.
