Description

Varietal: 100% Chardonnay from Cuis 1er Cru – Côte des Blancs. Dosage: 5.5-6 g/l of sugar

Non-vintage blend of 6 vintages (2014 - 2021) | Blend n°234 (Base: 2021 | 73.5%). Juice from different terroirs is separated into different tanks and aged 6-8 months in stainless steel tanks before blending with reserve wine. Reserve wines remain bottled on fine lees for additional freshness (less oxidation) and maturity in the wine.

Tasting Notes:  Delightful Blanc de Blancs marries excellent depth of character – all the citrus, crisp pear and floral aromas of chardonnay – with the charm of fleur de sel, fresh ginger and slivered almond notes. Properly dry, but very harmonious, thanks to the excellent balance of citrus freshness and light creaminess. Long, clean finish, accentuated by the lively mousse & acidity.

About Pierre Gimonnet & Fils: With a rich 250+ year history in Champagne, Pierre Gimonnet & Fils has been a family estate since the 1750s, with the first known labels under Henri Gimonnet at the beginning of the 20th century. During the interwar period of the early 1930s, Pierre published his first price lists showcasing great prosperity. After passing the vineyard down to his son Michel, the Domaine is still family-run and co-managed by Pierre's grandsons Olivier and Didier Gimonnet, who maintain the family's dedication to being winegrowers first and foremost, committed to the importance of their vines and their roots.
