Gañeta Txakoli 2023

Varietal: Hondarribi Zuri from vineyards near the Cantabrian Sea in the Getariako region of Spain.

Overlooking the Atlantic coast of northern Spain (Pais Vasco), the indigenous grape species of this wine grow on pergolas. Using sustainable farming, grapes are harvested from 50 year old vines from steep hillsides of sand and chalk, providing more mineral and saline qualities. This Txakolí is produced in the classic style of the Getariako region

Tasting Notes: Enjoy a bouquet of crisp citrus fruits, such as zesty lime, lemon, and hints of grapefruit on the nose. On the palette, it is also briny, incredibly dry, yet lively with notes of aloe and margarita-like lime. One of the distinctive qualities of Txakoli is its slight effervescence or natural spritz. When poured into a glass from a height, it creates a delightful frothy foam that adds a playful and fizzy sensation to the wine!
